Mission for the Establishment of Human Rights in Iran |
The Role of
Islamic Regime of Iran in Terrorist Activities abroad and its connection with
AlQaeda
MEHR Iran
has translated an investigative report published in Dec. 3 issue of
Insight magazine This report revealed important information about the
terrorist activities of Islamic Regime of Iran and its possible role in
September 11 terrorism. Although most of the western governments have been
silent about these activities, the recent Editorial of Washington Times and
William Safire’s article in New York Times broke the silence and wrote about
the role of the Islamic Regime in worldwide terrorism and frequently quoted
the Insight report. Obviously, in contrast to the position of some Iranians, we believe that exposing the terrorist activities of Islamic Regime does not offer any encouragement for attacking Iran, something that we oppose under any circumstances.
MEHR position is that by exposing the role of Islamic
Regime terrorism inside and outside Iran, we should not allow the conspiracy
to legitimize one of the most notorious violators of human rights to succeed.
Furthermore, MEHR emphasizes that those who really believe in fighting
terrorism should not help this terrorist regime, should not legitimize it for
the sake of their “INTEREST”, and let the struggle of Iranian people for
democracy prevail. By taking this position we do not let the interest
of others to determine the fate of the Islamic Regime. Our message to
the world community is quite sound and clear: JUST DO NOT SUPPORT AND LEGITIMIZE THE ISLAMIC
TERRORIST REGIME OF IRAN AND LET THE IRANAIN PEOPLE SUCCEED IN
THEIR FIGHT AGAINST ITS TERROR AND HUMAN RIGHTS ABUSES. Of course, terrorists should be brought to justice through
international avenues operating under international human rights laws. MEHR
will increase its efforts to seek justice for the victims of the Islamic
Regime. The Insight report in both English and Persian may be viewed at the following links: |
