In the second year of Mahsa's death, do we continue to condemn as usual or...?

The killing of Mahsa Amini two years ago brought the movement of women and freedom fighters to the streets. So many lives were lost and the jails and torture continue.

What we expatriates did for them through rallies, articles, petitions, Twitter and Facebook, and ..., was verbally supporting them, saying "well done". Then follow by saying, we "want", you "must", ... in defending them!

All of this is much better than silence. But will it help and empower the freedom seekers and their spontaneous movement? Have these "wants" taken the interest-driven governments a little bit away from the Islamic regime?

Following us, they have done nothing but spreading defending "words".

Let's take a look at what they are doing in the name of sanctions against the Islamic regime and their "severe" punishment.

On the 28th of Shahriwar (September 18), the United States imposed fresh sanctions against 12 officials of the Islamic Republic in connection with human rights violations and the violent repression of the Iranian people.

the U.S. Department of the Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) is designating 12 individuals in connection with the Iranian regime’s ongoing, violent repression of the Iranian people, both within Iran’s borders and abroad. The full press release is given at:

https://home.treasury.gov/news/press-releases/jy2587

These designations target members of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), officials of Iran’s Prisons Organization, and those responsible for lethal operations overseas. Today’s action is being taken in coordination with Canada and Australia, which have also unveiled new sanctions against those connected to human rights abuses in Iran.

These "sanctions" are pointless. Officials and people affiliated with the regime under this sanction have passports and financial accounts in and outside Iran under different names. What obstacles and problems will these types of sanctions create for them to reduce their crimes? Aren't they allowed to travel abroad under the names nobody know? Do they confiscate their property outsided invested under those names?

The criminal heads of the Islamic Regime participate in world meetings. The Islamic regime is a member of different sections of the UN. For example, a battalion of the Islamic Regime's ground force carries out peacekeeping missions abroad and the United Nations allocates its staff to the United Nations Peacekeeping Forces.

Over many years, I have raised my proposal about an effective type of sanction called "smart sanction" through numerous articles, conferences, radio, and television programs. Many articles about this are available on the Mehr website in Persian and English.

As a short example, those who can tolerate reading words that bring up "practical actions" can refer to the following link:

https://mehr.org/give_and_take.htm

Since over the years, the "words" did not help to mobilize "actions", this writing, as I have said many times, is for a little relief from my pain and finally within the range of the "words" that I criticize!

Hoping for better days when I am gone and the Iranians have stopped talking and started acting!
